Twice a year some old friends from Chicago visit their son & his family in Portland, and we always meet halfway (I live in Newport) for lunch while they're in Oregon. Over the years we've gone to many of the fine vineyards & restaurants in the wine country but always gravitate back around to Dundee Bistro, not only for its fine cuisine but also for its stylish yet comfortable ambience, its seating options (we like to be outdoors in summer, by the fireplace in winter), and its attentive but never intrusive service.

We had a great time sitting at the Chef’s counter. Everything from the drinks, my wife had the Rosé and I had the Moroccan mint tea, to the incredible crispy lamb hummus with fresh hot & puffy pita, to the roasted beet salad and the lamb chops were incredible. The service was timely and the atmosphere was so lively. Really nice place to go while in Portland. Can’t wait to go back with some friends.

When we travel from Seattle to Portland we always try to have a dinner at Nostrana, The food is simply prepared and perfect every time we have had dinner. They serve a wide range of people from dating couples to oldsters like us. Drinks and wine also very well chosen and well prepared. Service is attentive. Be sure to get a reservation ! Excellent food and atmosphere. Todd was a professional and helpful server as was his service helper. We will return and recommend that you visit this wonderful Willamette Valley restaurant!!

Once in a lifetime dinner. All beautifully presented. Not inexpensive.
