Full disclosure… NY restaurant snob here! Additionally expecting premiere service … Dal Contadino is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Ft Lauderdsle and the service is not good it is perfection!!! Simply put, if you don’t dine here … you are missing out. Last night we had a party of 7 … family, holiday, 2 birthdays… we were met at the door by our regular server, Sophia. Sophia is that server who does not meet your needs - she anticipates them. She was sure that everyone had a special evening … from perfect apps and cocktails right down to candles on the birthday desserts. It is not enough to say that her service is outstanding… because it is better than that…it is the best you will have anywhere! (Note: It is no easy task to get 7 varied and perfectly prepared meals to the table at the same time Sophia and her helper accomplished that flawlessly!) Of course, Chef Nuccio took the time to visit our table and welcome everybody… this has become a “home” to all of us and he calls us family! He and his wife Kremena are always most gracious and welcoming. We dine here very often … because it is the best. No request is too big to accommodate… no detail is too small to forget. Dal Contadino is much more than a restaurant it is truly an experience. This is our go to place for special occasions as well as a great place for lunch or dinner. We have enjoyed this restaurant since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is outstanding - whether steak or seafood. The service is excellent.

Takato never disappoints. Food and staff were amazing. We had lamb chops,sea bass, kimchi fried rice, shrimp fried rice, California roll, spicy tuna roll, yellowtail sashimi, machine, chocolate lava cake, specialty martini, cosmo, and a spicy margarita. Everything was amazing. The only bad part is this place seems to attract screaming kids with entitled parents with no regard and don't do anything. Not that the restaurant can help that but it is frustrating and definitely has an effect on the ambiance. Regardless, this is definitely one of the top restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale with amazing sushi and so much more.

We were very fortunate to get a Christmas reservation. They were very busy but amazingly organized and no one waited to be seated. The menu choices all sounded delicious. We ordered the lobster shrimp dumplings, the wonton soup, seafood rice, roast pork fried rice and sesame chicken. They were all delicious but I found the prices to be higher than they should be. I’m hoping they were Christmas prices and not the regular. Definitely yummy!

Christmas dinner at Mastro’s was fantastic. The food, as always is amazing…perfectly seasoned and presented. They serve love on a plate at Mastro’s! The staff is always warm and welcoming when I return. Preston, the manager stopped by the table to insure everything was satisfactory. David & Steve were very gracious in greeting us. Stefan provided excellent service throughout the evening. It is a pleasurable experience dining at Mastro’s each and every time. I can’t wait to return!
