Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards. The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace. Humo [oo-moh], is a modern firehouse situated in the heart of Watford, serving Spanish inspired meat, seafood, fish, and seasonal vegetables cooked in a charcoal and wood oven. The furnace reaches temperatures of over 300 degrees Celsius so the produce is seared and smoked in seconds, making sure the flavour sings on your palate, and not on the plate.The restaurant boasts a beautiful, seated island bar, a peephole into the working kitchen and covers for over 100 guests. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept.     I want to thank all the Ivy staff for their warmth and kindness. It truly is the best place to celebrate a long anniversary or a special event. Everyone was incredibly professional and amazing, and the atmosphere was simply stunning. The afternoon tea was an incredible experience—every piece was exquisite and tasted absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough—it’s absolutely fantastic!

    What a lovely restaurant in the centre of Old Beaconsfield. Extremely welcoming and attentive staff, high quality two course lunch for £40 each with some lovely surprise additions before and throughout the meal. Having exquisite company was also delightful 😁

    We visited Reis Bar and Grill in Ruislip on a Saturday evening around 7 PM, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. My partner had the tomahawk steak with chips (10/10, by the way), our little one had chicken nuggets and chips, and I ordered the sea bass. The cocktails were not only delicious but also Instagram-worthy, with great presentation. The food was served with a dramatic dry ice effect, which was a nice touch. The waiters were warm and attentive without being overbearing, which made us feel really comfortable. Booking online was seamless, and everything ran smoothly. Unfortunately, my son wasn’t feeling well, so he didn’t eat, but I ended up sharing some of the tomahawk steak, and wow—it was incredible. The sea bass was nice, and the sauce was good, but it wasn’t quite my kind of dish (I’m a bit fussy with food). To top it off, we ended up meeting the manager - thanked us for our visit at the end, which felt really genuine. We’ll definitely be back for the fantastic food, cocktails, and just the overall good vibes.

    Prawn and salmon starters were excellent. Less impressed with the fish curry that was made with coley, was ok. The bhindi dopiaza was nice. The ambiance is good and the decor looks great, a welcome addition to Chorleywood. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. Came to about £55 a head with only one drink so a little steep considering we had tea instead of dessert. Would go again but not for the fish curry!
