What was once used as an encampment for General Lafayette's troops during the Revolutionary War has been transformed into a modern, elegant restaurant with the feel and charm of a Tuscan villa. Chef-Owners Robert Vicari and Carlo Carbonaro have fused their extensive restaurant experience together to offer a variety of dishes hailing from both the northern and southern regions of Italy. Welcome to Roberts Scratch Kitchen. We are a fine dining continental cuisine BYOB scratch kitchen restaurant located in Totowa New Jersey. Serving lunch and dinner with daily specials, offering a full Gluten Free Menu. Our modern spacious dining room is finely detailed, cozy, and relaxing, with a trendy classy feel.At RSK our food is made from scratch. We do not use any ready-made prepared foods. Our kitchen has no freezer. Food is purchased fresh daily. Meals are homemade in the restaurant kitchen just a few feet from where you are dining. We also ask to bare with us as it is hard to find staff and we try to keep the prices as low as possible due to the high food costs these days and also trying to find the product in these strange times. We only use top of the line high quality provisions. On weekends we have a 90 minute table time for 2 tops and 2 hour table time for larger then that on the earlier seatings.

    First time going to Ho Ho Kus Inn & Tavern.....we received a gift certificate from our grandkids so we made a reservation on Open Table.....when asked what the occasion was I put Anniversary & the hostess wished us a Happy Anniversary & asked how many years.....we told her 53 years & she said wow!!!!......the waiter brought our wine & 2 complimentary glasses of champagne and said this is on the house and also wished us happy anniversary!! The food was absolutely delicious from salad to dessert would definitely go again and I highly recommend this place to everyone I know i give HoHoKus 5+ stars

    The food was amazing. The antipasto board that was presented was phenomenal. Our server was excellent, and the music by Josh was awesome. It was a very pleasant night for some guests experiencing it for the first time. Everyone had a wonderful evening.

    We've been here a few times before and its always good This time we came with two other couples that had never been, and they loved it Service is attentive, but not intrusive Food is very good and the portions are good size I had the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection My friend is a short ribs snob (his words) and he loved the short rib pasta We will be back!
