I booked a table for two at Asha's to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had such a special time and all the staff were friendly and courteous and the food was sublime. We will return for more special occasions. Thank you to the team at Asha's for treating us so well.

We were among the first to arrive; within five minutes, a waiter approached us to present the menu. They were incredibly helpful in explaining some of the dishes and accommodating our inquiries about halal and vegetarian options. Someone was always available to address any questions and offer beverages, ensuring we didn't wait long to order and received the bill promptly after finishing. The restaurant itself was nicely lit, and the weather enhanced the atmosphere a bit, with the golden hour creating a lovely backdrop so early, as it is located on the 24th floor. The food was fabulous, and their salmon was one of the finest I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The wait for the food felt brief; the bird's eye view captivated me as I waited, making the time fly. The only minor downside was the lint on the table upon arrival (which I presumed was from the napkins). Although the sunlight made it appear worse, it wasn't a significant issue and didn't taint my overall impression. Overall, it was an excellent experience; I plan to return, bringing more people next time!

Perfectly situated by Birmingham’s historic canal system, directly opposite The Cube and near The Mailbox, Noel’s is a jewel in the crown of the city’s dining and nightlife scene. Whether you’re planning a romantic evening, a business meeting, or a family gathering, this venue delivers on every front. The menu is a masterpiece, offering locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality. We began our evening with a selection of seafood, including prawns, calamari, and mussels in an exquisite sauce, alongside succulent chicken skewers. Each dish was beautifully prepared, showcasing exceptional attention to detail and flavour. To finish, we indulged in a decadent cheeseboard paired with a selection of liqueurs and expertly crafted cocktails – a perfect end to an extraordinary dining experience. Noel’s isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. From the stunning canal-side location to the impeccable food and drinks, everything about this place exudes the “wow factor.” If you’re in Birmingham, this is a must-visit destination. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

From arriving, it was a fabulous set up, the lounge where we we had cocktails and canapés was lovely, then after half an hour we were taken to the restaurant upstairs. Course after delicious course arrived and were beautifully presented and explained. We thoroughly enjoyed them BUT as soon as we took the last bite and put the cutlery down, the plate was whisked away before we’d even chewed and swallowed. I did comment each time ‘ that’s too quick’ and it meant that we felt we were on a conveyor belt and rushed. We’d driven up from Kent ( booking an hotel for the night) and arrived at the hotel literally 40 minutes before our seating time and so we were wanting to relax but this meant we were rushed. And as soon as we finished our last course with wine still in our glasses, they wanted to move us back to the lounge for coffee and petit fours but I refused saying I wanted to finish my wine. As we commented to each other and compared it it to Aulis/Raby Hunt/ Frog/ L’enclume/ Roux at Landau/ Gavroche/ Fat Duck etc.. we decided this was far far too rushed and at that very moment I got my phone out and booked Aulis for our 5th time. Nice though Opheem was, I think we’ll stick to our Aktar at Home deliveries that we’ve had for the last 4/5 yrs and have them relaxing at home. The staff were excellent but the management have decided to maximise revenue by processing customers through - very sad.
