From its humble beginnings in the quaint Hudson River town of Piermont, New York, Olar was known for serving up rustic Neapolitan pies, classic Spanish tapas, and hand crafted pastas that drew in both locals and foodies from all parts of New Jersey, upstate New York, and New York City and kept them coming back for over a decade.Now in its new location in Northvale, New Jersey, the restaurant, now known as Olar Noso - which means "our home" in Galego, the language spoken in Galicia where the Dominguez family is from - is an evolution in not only name alone.They have managed to scale the restaurant concept generously while replicating the quality and preserving the reputation the former Olar had garnered over the years.     Delicious food and great service. Restaurant was very energetic. We did have a nearby guest who didn’t know how to moderate her voice and really needed to consider others around her. Otherwise, staff were fast, nice and food and drinks were great.

    Was a fantastic experience for our family of amateur foodies. The 6-course tasting menu was beautifully balanced and creative, with generous portions and gorgeous presentation. We added on 6 oysters and the filet, which was amazing. The service was lovely, with each dish explained as it was served. Will definitely return!

    Vida was packed last night. 💃🏻 This is a brand new restaurant in Thornwood by the talented husband and wife duo at Augustine’s in Mamaroneck… Brianne Myers and Marc Taxiera. I love them as humans and am in awe of what they do as creatives/restauranteurs. I was worried about this newest endeavor only because their presence, in addition to incredible food, is such an integral part of Augustine’s success. How will they be able to nurture this baby as beautifully as their first? After visiting last night with a few friends, I no longer have any fears. Vida has been open a month and it felt like it had been operating successfully for years. I am neck deep in Christmas everything, but I am just so happy for Brianne and Marc, but also for Westchester. We needed some new “Vida” around these parts. Will def include comments under the photos. One more thing… omg the food. Oh and the glassware. and the patio that we will all enjoy in the Spring! ok… gotta go! So many gorgeous details.     The food and service at Brother’s Fish & Chips is always exceptional. We love celebrating special occasions here as well as coming for an ordinary night out. You cannot go wrong with the tasting menu if you do choose that option. Elmer is a genius in the culinary space! Thank you Brother’s Fish and Chips for always providing an outstanding experience.
