I can't recommend the Sunday Roast Pork and the Sunday Roast Beef highly enough, and the three-course set menu option was amazing value for money. All of the food and drinks received were excellent. A wonderful old pub, with a terrific atmosphere. An excellent choice of real ales, wonderful food, and attentive service. We were shown to our table, and the waiter came to see if we would like wine, or anything else to drink. Then shortly after we had a chefs taster followed by perfectly served starters, mains, and desserts. The time between each course, was just right. We had a lovely small gift on the table, a very nice thoughtful touch.! We thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed our time at the George, the staff were lovely, and the meal and service, first class. This was our first visit for my partner and I, we had 3 courses and we always share everything, each meal was delicious. All food came out in good time. Waiting staff were all polite and friendly. They have a good selection of drinks; beers/ales and wines. Good selection of food. Such a treat going here. This was on Xmas eve, they were busy, but we had a lovely table and didn’t feel the rush.
