Guu Tramasa will keep the concept of “For your daily re-charging spot” of all Guu Izakaya and introduce Osaka street food to Vancouver locals.Osaka is the second largest city in Japan after Tokyo. During the Edo period (1603-1867), Osaka was known as the “kitchen of the nation” and the center of commerce in Japan, where rice and other specialty products were traded. With this background, Osaka’s unique culinary culture has developed, and the region is still crowded with tourists from Japan and abroad, who enjoy both traditional dishes and inexpensive street food. The two staff members who manage Tramasa are originally from Osaka, which led to the creation of Guu Toramasa based on the theme of Osaka’s food culture.
