The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. Two Michelin stars, so the price is what you would expect of such status. Staff, service, ambiance, and food are all impeccable. Went there with my wife for our anniversary and although there is not a place for a candlelit dinner, the staff did their best to accommodate us with crafted dessert items with simulated candles in the bar/dessert lounge. Thank you to Eric, Kinga, and Andrew for making the night even more spectacular. Will definitely return when I’m back in the states.

Always happy with Black restaurants. Food was reliably excellent if not exceptional - we had blackened catfish and blackened shrimp. Service was attentive, congenial and responsive. Good value for increasingly expensive DC restaurant scene.

As always, our experience at Ted’s bulletin was superlative. First and most important, the food is outstanding. And the desserts are even better, especially the carrot cake and the chocolate cake. Loved my snowball for nostalgic reasons. Be sure to get a milkshake. And the cornbread sticks. And the brussels sprouts. We ate at Ted’s four times in the four days we visited DC. The manager was so gracious in giving us a table on our fourth day as we were short on time before leaving for the airport. The staff were already beginning to recognize us. Can’t wait to visit DC again so we can eat at Ted’s at least once every day of our trip. And take home more desserts.
