I attended a family function at Sth Sailor around 4 years ago and have wanted to return ever since as it was so good. They did not disappoint. So glad we went back and we will likely not take 4 years to return again. The food was great and all 4 of us were very happy. While I understand restaurants are actually a real estate business i.e. how many times you can turn a table, or how many people you can fit into the restaurant, if I had one suggestion, it would be to not sit 4 people at a small square table. The staff were well aware of this and brought a "small table/stool" to put our water glasses etc. on which really helped. As it was my wife and 2 girls, it was not a big issue being so close and was actually nice, however if I was with friends, it would have felt cramped. Even with the above suggestion, we left happy, content and ready to come back. Do yourself a favour and try the south sailor. It's probably a local secret they are happy to keep to themselves. I only wish there was something like this in Wollongong (or closer to home). It would be a regular go to.

Wow, what a special meal. Every dish was delicious, and the pasta sauces really wowed me. I loved the sashimi starter, the rigatoni carbonara and the pappardelle we had. Best tiramisu we’ve tried thus far! Not a banana fan but still loved the banana caramel dessert. Super great ambience watching all the action in the kitchen from the bar too 🥰

Food better than expected. Loved the crumpets for breakfast and the Paris Brest. Lovely coffee. Will come again.

When it’s very busy think extra staff at the ice cream section be a good idea plus customer needs to be able to pay at ice cream section, not line up again at the food order lineup Staff are all very helpful and friendly and work hard Food is always delicious prices comparable to other venues Great spot to bring kids / grandkids with indoor and out door play area
