A recommendation from the Michelin Guide App. A quiet lunch date with my wife, we had the set menu which was a selection from the main menu, The tempura prawns, haddock and Crumble were fantastic, Truffle triple cooked chips were not overpowering as is the case with many truffle options elsewhere. The whipped Stilton and sourdough was devine followed by the gammon, topped with the perfect egg. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming, caring which was a breath of fresh air , as nothing was too much trouble. A great first visit.

Terrific steak in an amazing venue. Great ambience and friendly service.

Went to the Kite for Sunday lunch. We both went for the roast (1 x beef, 1 x mushroom wellington). Both were excellent. Beef was succulent and juicy, the pastry on the wellington just right. The accompanying cauliflower cheese was a centrepiece in its own right. Only small quibble was that the service was a little slow, but when mentioned was immediately put right. Would definitely recommend.

Our first experience at Redcoats and a very good one at that. We shall certainly be back. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly, helpful and efficient without being intrusive. We used Redcoats to meet friends on a half way basis. Everyone agreed it was an excellent choice and ticked all our boxes. We all commented on a lovely relaxing lunch and afternoon. we had a lovely afternoon, our waiter was lovely, the food was lush and if i had to say anything bad i would say the tea was a bit bland, but everything else made up for it.
