The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. The Legh arms food and service is exceptional. Make sure you book in advance to avoid being disappointed. I would recommend anyone to give the Legh arms a try. We will definitely be back again very soon.

I had Porcini & Truffle Tagliatelle with mushrooms and parmesan, it was delicious. Two courses for £14.95, which I felt was very good value. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant, the staff are very polite and helpful. At the moment it looks very Christmasy, lovely.

Lovely Sunday lunch, fresh vegetables, tasty roast beef which was very tender. Great that the landlord came over to each table and took the order and checked everything ok, a great personal touch.
