Welcome to Afternoon Tea at the Spread Eagle Restaurant. The Spread Eagle Restaurant is located in the historic village of Thame, Oxfordshire. Perfectly located for the sights of Oxford, Aylesbury the Cotswolds and the surrounding countryside, the hotel has a long and colourful history. The exterior has an arresting Georgian façade, with original 30-ft inn sign, and the interior has been sympathetically renovated. The restaurant (which the website proudly claims has been "bringing haute cuisine to the provinces" since 1920), too, has been recently refurbished, and offers modern European cuisine with a strong British influence, with everything from fine dining fusion style dishes to traditional British comfort food.
