Pammy’s is a New American restaurant inspired by the feel of an Italian neighborhood trattoria. Perched between Cambridge’s Central and Harvard Squares, Pammy’s is a cozy yet sophisticated neighborhood destination. For husband and wife team Chris and Pam Willis (who live right up the street), Pammy’s is an extension of their living room. Helmand Restaurant offers Afghani dishes with a wood-burning oven where the famous flatbread is cooked on one side of the room and an intimate fireplace is on the other side.Helmand Restaurant entrées include tasty choices like qabelee, which is pallow rice baked with chunks of lamb tenderloin, raisins and glazed carrots or mantwo, a homemade pasta shell filled with beef and onions. A lovely experience at an early dinner here on a busy Saturday night was perfect on a very cold evening. Thank you! We are new in Charlestown and it’s so nice to discover a local place that serves excellent food. The scallops were big and juicy and sitting on a delicious bed of Brussel sprout hash. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and lied on a risotto mushroom base. Wow! All superb!

Yummy cocktails to start. Fabulous dinner: chicory, foie gras walnut salad + octopus + lumache for me. Dining companions had the lasagna, bay scallops, and cobia. All were delicious. Katie recommended a delightful champagne to enhance the first courses. Pammy’s continues to be a gem.

Great experience Banks. This was a W concierge recommended spot for close walking distance and good food, service and ambiance and it didn’t disappoint in the least. Beautiful interior - we sat on first floor near fireplace - service was fast and door was portioned perfectly and delicious. Highly Recommend!

This wonderful gem EXCEEDED our expectations! My husband and I celebrate our anniversary in the north end every year and like to try a new restaurant every time- this place was phenomenal- every single bite was excellent from the starter arugula salad to the veal Marsala which was impeccably seasoned and incredibly tender to the flourless chocolate cake which was oh so fudgy and decadent- the owner/chef came to our table to make sure everything was great (to me this is a staple for a well run restaurant). We were beyond impressed with the wait staff as well- never needed for anything. It will be hard to try a new restaurant next year as this one leaves some really big shoes to fill! Thank you Tresca for a night and a meal to remember!
