Helmand Restaurant offers Afghani dishes with a wood-burning oven where the famous flatbread is cooked on one side of the room and an intimate fireplace is on the other side.Helmand Restaurant entrées include tasty choices like qabelee, which is pallow rice baked with chunks of lamb tenderloin, raisins and glazed carrots or mantwo, a homemade pasta shell filled with beef and onions. Just a really good meal all round. The prices look expensive but when you see the portions it’s more than value for money. It was absolutely delicious, 10/10. Very chill vibes, was lovely that Rich (the owner) greeted everyone individually at their table, made you feel very valued.

We had one meal called a torta that the waiter recommended & the bread / roll it came on was hard as a Rock ! We should have sent it back . The burger was just ok ; but the two breakfast meals were very good .

We had such a lovely experience at Waverly as always! Such a cozy atmosphere, sweet staff and amazing food. We got the whipped feta dip and brussel sprout starters, both of which they were able to serve gluten free for us! They even had some great dry January mocktail options

Outstanding service and food quality. Incredibly loud, group next to us were shouting and laughing so loudly it was unbearable. Have no issues with people enjoying themselves at dinner and having lively conversation just doesn’t have to be at the highest decibel level humanly possible. Unfortunate because the food quality and our server were superb! Not sure there is much that can be done to prevent or mitigate loud patrons in an open dining room.
