The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We hope we do it well.

Friendly, neighbourhood brasserie-style Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant serving modern European cuisine with seasonal Irish produce, a boutique wine list, and signature cocktails. Our bar, "Upstairs at Lottie's," is open at the weekend for a perfect pre-dinner cocktail or to relax on comfortable couches after dinner. The Washerwoman, located on Glasnevin Hill (called locally Washerwoman's Hill due to the local story of washerwomen out on the hill with their mangles washing clothes in the Tolka river!)has been a well-loved and treasured restaurant in the area for years now, and is housed in a charming stone cottage which dates in part from 1700. Really enjoyed our brunch. Staff member who seated and served us was welcoming and efficient. Caesar Salad and Burger & Chips were lovely, and both were served as generous portions with good quality ingredients. Will definitely return!

I always enjoy eating here, you get the nice cinema vibe along with comfort. Had fish and sweet potato fries, my friend had chicken burger. Very tasty. Wines were pinot grigio and verdejo. I love that you get an option of medium or large glass. On previous occasions I've had the cheese board which I highly recommend.
