Went here for my birthday. We had the Valentine’s Day menu. We both had Cesar Salad, I chose the salmon with potatoes and the husband had the shrimp and lobster fettuccini, followed by the cheese cake. Everything we delightful! First time we have both enjoyed our meal anywhere. To top it off it was only 59.99 for 2! Let’s not forget the classic margarita…. It was so strong but good. Our waiter Darnell (light skin big hair with freckles). He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Was able to make every request and did it in a timely manner. I had the best time last night at J. Gilberts! We came early to see if we could get a seat at the bar area since our reservations were so late. They beyond exceeded my expectations and were extremely accommodating! The food was absolutely amazing! I would definitely be back! Thank you J. Gilberts and your staff from the hostess to the waitress and supporting waiters top notch experience!

We had reservations for Valentine’s Day. It was very busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation. We were seated upstairs. The room is amazing. Music was a little loud, but a conversation across the table was not a problem. Of the salads, appetizers and entrees we ordered, the only item that was slightly disappointing was the octopus. It was charred perfectly and was very tender, but it lacked seasoning. The sauce was great and added flavor. I Despite every table being full in the bar and both floors, the service was very good.

Can’t go wrong with the Filet Mignon! It was cooked perfectly and I asked them to add blackened seasoning to my steak and it the perfect combination! This was our second time at this restaurant and definitely won’t be our last!
