Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Superb, very authentic tasting food. The service was excellent. I went for my daughter’s birthday, she wore her birthday sash and they bought out a cake by surprise which I did not request initially. That was so nice. The waiter’s sang happy birthday with some of the other diners. Thanks for making the day special. I will be back. 😊

The restaurant now has a lovely cosy feel. Great food and service, big portions so good value, last time I had the pork belly bites for starter and they were delicious, my partner said he could just eat a whole bowl of them. This time I had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Service all round was excellent, friendly and helpful, need to try the sunday roast next. Will definitely return and would absolutely recommend
