J&M's is hit or miss for me. Sometimes it's phenomenal, sometimes it's just good. On our most recent visit the hits were the cocktails and the appetizers - all of them were absolutely perfect. I could have eaten three of my appetizer and my husband's. My entree was good but not standout. My husband's entree - which I almost ordered - was not good at all I'm my opinion, but he loved it so it might just be me. My dessert was good but not fantastic. My husband's dessert was much better. Service is always top notch at J&M's. The atmosphere is perfect and it's never too loud. I'm glad to have this great place in our neighborhood. It's a go-to for us but I just wish I had better luck at ordering what was right for me every time we go.

Beautiful setting and delicious food along with terrific drinks and wine selection.

The restaurant decor was modern and clean. The servers polite, informative and accommodating and well dressed. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and he got a few surprise “gifts” during dinner. He found an insect crawling on his food. He took a video of the little guy zipping along. When we told our server, the dish was replaced with many apologies. Next, the crab contained a sharp shell and hen gristle attached to bone necessitated he spit into his napkin. We understand these things happen time and again. It’s not a huge deal but for $1000 for 2, there was no value and we were glad it was just us and we weren’t hosting guests. We had a good time, laughed a lot, we enjoyed the interesting food presentations and tastes. The wine pairing definitely enhanced the flavors. However, at the end of the experience I asked my husband to look around and take it all in because we probably won’t be back.

Overall, Zaytoon is. agreat place with really interesting delicious food! Our only surprise was that Happy Hour pricing for drinks was only when seated at the bar.
