Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses. The food was really nice the presentation and taste was great. The place itself is so nice I am glad we visited around winter time as it felt very cosy and festive. I have to say our table service by Michela was perfect, she is so lovely and well spoken and presents the food well and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable.
