Merchants serves Scottish cuisine in one of the most bustling areas of Edinburgh. Found whilst walking on the Royal Mile, it was a great discovery. Very cosy ambience, large plates and a vast selection of delicious cocktails. We had a really nice time!

This is not a cheap option for lunch, but for a special occasion or treat, it is one of my favourite places in Edinburgh. The food, service and ambience are consistently exceptional. Definitely need to book in advance. The phone was busy all lunchtime with people looking for a table that night but they were fully booked.

No 11 Brunswick Street was a superb choice of venue for my birthday meal. The quality of the food was incredible and value for money. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. We had our choice of tables and were greeted very warmly. A lovely venue, amazing food and great service. Will definitely be back.
