Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards. The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace. The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available. Prawn and salmon starters were excellent. Less impressed with the fish curry that was made with coley, was ok. The bhindi dopiaza was nice. The ambiance is good and the decor looks great, a welcome addition to Chorleywood. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. Came to about £55 a head with only one drink so a little steep considering we had tea instead of dessert. Would go again but not for the fish curry!
