I looked up The Fox in the Michelin guide under gastropubs for somewhere to eat and stay for my husband’s birthday. It did NOT disappoint! The pub and restaurant were comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere and the food was fantastic - as good as any chef with Michelin stars in my opinion. The menu was varied and choice of wine excellent. The restaurant was tastefully furnished and so was our room with a lovely comfy bed! Cannot recommend enough to others.

Our first experience at Redcoats and a very good one at that. We shall certainly be back. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly, helpful and efficient without being intrusive. We used Redcoats to meet friends on a half way basis. Everyone agreed it was an excellent choice and ticked all our boxes. We all commented on a lovely relaxing lunch and afternoon. This venue is excellent for any time of the day. Beautiful grounds and lovely facilities. I highly recommend you try it out. You will not be disappointed. We were very impressed.

Great food and attentive service for what is is a very good lunchtime set menu.

Warm welcome on arrival. Staff went above and beyond to check allergens in their dishes. Good choice on the wine list. Food outstanding and presentation was good. Their Beetroot and goat’s cheese starter was excellent. Definitely recommend. We will be returning.
