Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Went for the New Year’s Day Hip Hop DJ Brunch and it did not disappoint! Tried the housemade donuts (cranberry orange & espresso martini), and they lived up to the hype 100%! Seriously, if we weren’t so full, I would have taken a couple of the orange-cranberry ones to go! Then we had chicken & waffles and the pastrami hash. The chicken was incredibly crispy and the hash was delicious- lots of peppers & onions to complement the pastrami. Music was loud (we were right in front of the DJ) with some great selections! Service was excellent as well. We will definitely be back!

Delicious, as always! First time for my friends meeting me there, they were impressed with the portions and flavors. Also, great location for us to all “meet in the middle”. Could have just done apps and dessert- the bruschetta, parm wedges (I forget what they’re really called on the menu) and the burrata (which is a meal in itself) were more than enough for three of us and then some packed up to go, and then we ordered meals….chicken parm, veal parm, and the grilled chicken dinners- most of which were taken home due to the gigantic portions! The seasonal sangrias hit the spot and service was outstanding, as usual. We did not have room for dessert but had coffees as we exchanged gifts. We will be back!

Excellent meal! Fresh swordfish with delicious Pad Thai quinoa, roasted mushrooms, and fresh decaf coffee. My friend had a very tasty fish sandwich (which was huge) with thick cut French fries. We had great wait service (Tracy) and we both were well pleased.

Em was a fabulous server. Food was delicious. Wines were good, not fantastic, but they grew on you. Fisherman’s Platter, fish and chips and lobster roll and clam strips were enjoyed by all. Overall a lovely evening.

Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
