Egle Loit, a trained pasta chef, has previously popped up mostly around East and North London, creating a buzz with her pre-restaurant residency at Vestry House Museum in 2023.Founder of Darling’s cares dearly about the craft that fresh pasta making requires. “One can turn humble ingredients into abundance with skill,” shares the restaurateur. Darling’s is designed to be an open space to be shared between the guests and the team, therefore there are no barriers between the service area and the dining area. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side.The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant). With respect to traditions, we will be cooking with integrity and creativity with ingredients and flavours that we love and are passionate about, in a way that is innovative rather than traditional, and most importantly, tasty tasty delicious. We’re talking lamb hearts, smoked beetroots, pickled mussels, seasonal kimchis, miso banoffee.We want everyone to feel at home here, a place for people to come together, the tables will be communal, you'll be asking your neighbour to pass the chilli oil and cheersing the whole table with a round of shots and sauerkraut.     Great food, I had the Lamb Tacos for a starter and for the mains I had the Argentine Sirloin Steak (Medium) and fries. The steak was juicy and super tasty. The fries were addictive. All in all the food was amazing. The whole place had a happy friendly ambience. The customers all looked happy and we're enjoying their respective food orders. The place attracted a decent crowd as well, it was a family friendly place,  The staff was also very friendly. I couldn't fault the place at all. Eating here was a pleasure. Good people making good food for good people in a good place 10/10

    The food was outstanding. The only minor comment I have is that the menu was in Italian and so we did not know what to order for a little while before the waitress explained it to us. Other than that everything was brilliant.

    In a year of enjoying some great meals, Silo has consistently delivered some of the very best. Every time we’ve visited, the experience has been flawless. Course after course of innovative, flavoursome, beautiful food. Tonight’s was the best yet. This places excites me. The evolution we’ve seen is amazing. New twists on existing dishes take each to an even higher level. And their value-driven, ‘no waste’ ethos is outstanding. Our favourite restaurant this year. So looking forward to many more meals in 2025.
