Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. There's hardly a seat in the house that does not offer a spectacular view of the Hudson river. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Try the classic menu standards of steak frites, moules frites, country terrine, and the Red Hat burger. Seasonal salads, sandwiches, and seafood entrees round out the menu. FARM’s Chef Renè Xelo, who has been with the restaurant since its inception in 2016, has curated a casual dining experience influenced by the many notable purveyors from across the Hudson Valley, best known for fresh produce, sustainably sourced seafood, and delectable bread and pastries. FARM’s thoughtful culinary concept evokes the local experience of gathering together in a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy great food and drinks. The massive ceiling-to-floor windows offer diners beautiful views of the outside patio while inside, guests are surrounded by colorful artwork created by local artists from the tri-state area.The bar program will offer delightful wines, from some of the oldest vineyards in the country, as well as locally brewed bourbons and ales. Bourbon Blackberry Collins, with Black Dirt bourbon (fresh from nearby Orange County), lemon juice, and agave, is a great way to start off the evening.
