Housed in a stunning 15th century chantry, customers can choose to eat under the soaring eaves of the great hall, up high in the minstrel's gallery, in the cosy bar by the fire or on the beautiful patio terrace.With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! The Ox Barn is a 56-seater destination restaurant under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. Rooted in a passion for the local land, food and entertaining, the carefully curated menus are farm-based and plant-inspired. His team and the gardeners at Thyme work together to select and grow the fruits, vegetables and herbs used to create his Modern British Countryside fare. The nineteenth century former oxen house is the newest addition to the family of meticulously restored farm buildings. A state-of-the-art piece of agricultural architecture at its conception, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the soaring archways and original Cotswold stone rubble walls, to now house a modern, dining destination - including a contemporary bar and seven and a half metre Charvet open kitchen - to allow for an authentic, heritage-rich dining experience, enabled by today’s best culinary technologies.

We had a fabulous dinner at The White Hart. We were hosting friends visiting from Australia and they were impressed by the high quality of the food and the atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Our only minor complaint would be the high volume conversations (at times bordering on shouting) on the adjacent table which made conversation at our table difficult on occasion. But despite this our dinner was at the very top end for a village pub.

The Swan is a lovely setting. The Sunday lunch was really, really tasty, though it could have been warmer. Service got slower as the meal went on and we felt a bit chilly at times. BUT we have booked again for a few weeks time and the staff member has made a note that we’d like a warmer table (our eldest guest is 86!)

The menu wasn't that flexible for lunch options. However excellent service to accommodate an allergy from the chef and staff. Large open space, plenty of parking, quiet and good ambience.
