Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Opened in August of 2021 and named one of 2022's "25 Best New Restaurants" and "50 Best Restaurants" by Charlotte Magazine, the rooftop restaurant by Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. O-Ku continues to go above and beyond! This restaurant amazes me with their customer service. I had shared that my family was celebrating my brother’s accomplishment in the Navy when I booked the reservation a month ago. When we were seated, there was a gift at the table. They ordered my brother a special gift to join in our celebration. Two managers also stopped by the table to check in. Our waitress was super attentive. The food was incredible. My favorite place in all of Charlotte to go! Can’t wait to go back.

Our dining experience was incredible! The first impression was welcoming and we were seated right away. We were celebrating our business anniversary and I they had a hand written note sending their congratulations! It was such a personalized touch! The food and service continued to exceed our expectations. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were the best in town! Thank you oh for creating a memorable experience for us!

Visiting from Miami Beach for a few days this was our first meal in town. Convenient location right across the bechtler museum of modern art, we had lunch on monday afternoon. My mom had fish special which was mahi mahi with carolina rice, small portion about 4 or 5 oz or fish 5/5. I had a crab cake sandwich, big cake in between bigger bans 4/5. Restaurant was quite. Service was simple. Thanks!!!
