The White Lion is a lovely thatched country pub, now fully restored with cosy snugs in the old beamed building and a sunny eatery opening onto large covered terraces and a secluded garden. We had a lovely night at Baserri on Christmas Eve. The food was incredible, the wine tasting perfect and both the owners made a point of coming and talking to us (one of them coming from a couple of miles up the road from me in South London). A really great night that we’ll both treasure against a backdrop of a difficult few months. Really really well done and thank you to the whole team at Baserri
