A very enjoyable dining experience set in the old farmhouse on Main Street in Wake Forest. Our party of four were immediately seated in one of the two main dining room areas. Beautiful interior with tables spaced to provide space and privacy while dining. The food is very much Authentic Italian and our server was very knowledgeable in wine selections and pairings with the entree’s. Very much an upscale restaurant yet prices were what I considered to be reasonable. Portions were large, made fresh and hot when presented at the table. Service was not rushed but paced to provide time to enjoy our food and company. This was not our first visit to Amalia’s, and we were informed that the menu had been updated with new dishes. Everyone agreed at our table that the entree’s were excellent and the service was spot on. Make your reservations in advance as the restaurant books fairly quickly.

The Capital Grille is always our top choice for special occasions or a casual night out. However, last night, my mother-in-law ordered the scallop dish and was quite disappointed as it didn’t taste as expected. She has enjoyed it in the past and often orders it when we dine there, so this was a surprise. While we didn’t want to complain because the service and the waiter were excellent, unfortunately, we ended up paying for a dish that we didn’t enjoy. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
