Rein Osteria is an award-winning steak and seafood house with a classic American menu to suit all tastes. The menu also features amazing appetizers, salads, and coastal pastas to complement our wide selection of steaks, chops, seafoods and amazing sharable plates. The locale is modeled after the great grills of New York and The Hamptons offering beautiful views of the Marjorie Reservoir, vaulted ceilings, and a rustic natural elegance. Our philosophy is simple. We wanted to create a place where our guests and co-workers are happy to be. Our food is procured locally as much as possible, and our culinary mantra is to buy good products and treat them with respect. This mantra is also reflected in our service model. We aren’t a stuffy “fine dining” restaurant, and we want all our guests to feel comfortable and spoiled when dining with us.

We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT. For three years in a row we were named Best Farm To Table Restaurant by the readers of the Waterbury Observer! We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails.     Really enjoyed our meal here last evening; Went in after a film and were seated promptly (we did have reservations, a must in West Hartford Center on Saturday night); they are known for their wine list and did not disappoint, had a couple of glasses of Rioja (excellent) and my companion had her usual Chardonnay. We shared the Pea Fritters which were amazing, a very unique app with a lovely sweet sauce reminiscent of Tamarind. She had the risotto, which she really enjoyed, and I had the steak, which was very good, and a reasonable portion (no one needs to eat a pound of meat). It was served with delicious roasted carrots and mashed potatoes, also very good. We finished up with coffee/tea, and shared the yummy chocolate tart. The restaurant has a great urban vibe and is very loud. Great service and very attentive staff and management. You definitely will not regret eating here!
