3 of us visited mid week for lunch, having read such good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. A great low key vibe without any pretension, small and with excellent staff. The four course tasting menu was absolutely delicious, very different flavours and styles. A highlight was perfectly cooked cod loin with a cauliflower puree and dill oil. The only thing we didn't like do much were the drink flights (we had both alcohol and virgin). Some of the flavours were too challengng for us. When we go back (which we will) we'll probably just get a bottle of wine to enjoy.

We are frequent visitors to the Marine for the last two years. It's just a brilliant place. Fantastic food and service. Recommended anytime!

Enjoyed our visit greeted as we arrived, shown to table early. Food and drink all were very nice, Lovely outlook across the countryside. Overall very much enjoyed.

The food was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful.

Visited the Balfour on Sunday with my wife and with my sister. We each opted for a starter, Sunday roast and a pudding and all three courses were absolutely outstanding. Never been here before but absolutely will come back again. Best roast I have had for years. Decent price, and really good, friendly atmosphere.
