So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come. As you walk into one of three beautifully redesigned dinning rooms, in a building that dates back to the 1930’s, you will smell the aromas of the freshest ingredients and spices, which are used to create the unique menu. Tried something other than burgers - which are very good - and I was very impressed. The French onion soup was superb! A rich, tasty broth with onions and plenty of melted cheese on top We then tried the Garcia pizza - plenty of mushrooms, cheese, some carmelized onions and a nice chewy crust - very tasty and certainly enough to share. We also received great service from Amaya (hope I spelled that correctly) who was very efficient and friendly. Thanks for another great meal

Our server Nick was excellent. Very knowledgeable and attentive. The food and atmosphere are great. The crab rice is addictive . Special thank you to Vivi the manager, she always makes sure to spot by our table and ensure everything is great for us. Is the great staff at this location that makes us come back again and again.

I visited a week earlier to inquire about the Christmas menu. I was told regular menus. Lunch and dinner. When we got there it was dinner only. This put us in a situation. However, the food was good. The waiter and service were fine. Everyone was attentive. For a Christmas meal, it was difficult seeing 👀 folks working on their holiday. It was, subsequently, a good experience, and we were grateful!
