A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. Lunch Offer : 3 Plates for £20, served at lunch Thursday-Saturday. Please note we are a separate restaurant to Chef's Table. Recently extended & fully refurbished to the highest standard the unique plush interior creates a fabulous ambience and compliments the pubs picturesque surroundings.The addition of The Glasshouse, a contemporary new extension, gives an exciting dimension to the pub, creating a spectacular dining environment perfect for hosting any special event. In the warmer months its fully retractable doors create the ideal inside/outside space. The restaurant has also been given a fresh new look creating a vibrant place to dine. For main meals, the new spring/summer menu includes wonderful seasonal dishes such as Orchiette Pasta with Fennel Sausage, Wild Broccoli & Shaved Scamorza and Roasted Rack of Lamb with Fondant Potato, alongside established favourites like hand-stretched stone-baked pizzas and Sunday roasts. Alfresco drinking & dining is also well catered for – when weather permits.

    Oh my goodness we had a beautiful meal, the starters and desserts were exceptional. We chose several from the snack menu. Tempura prawns were outstanding. The mains were really good, only issue was monkfish still had water residue that sadly diluted the Thai sauce, and potatoes oil the venison dish were a tiny bit over salted. This didn’t affect our overall experience and the restaurant was very busy due to valentines night. More staff would have helped reduce waiting times and probably the tiniest faults mentioned. These were not worth mentioning at the time as staff were doing their very best. Mentioning now for management feedback. Will definitely visit again! The starters and desserts were the best we’d ever tried!! All Staff so friendly and welcoming!

    Had the valentines menu and couldn’t fault anything.We both had different choices but it was all so tasty couldn’t fault it at all.I can’t usually manage 3 courses but I wasn’t leaving any.Highly recommended

    Fast service. Exceptional food. Friendly efficient staff. Clean & comfortable with a cosy atmosphere. I highly recommend The Allotment Vegan Eatery. We'll definitely be returning.

    Well cooked food, good, friendly service. Comfortable "old-fashioned" pub. Chose to eat in the bar this time, but there is also a very nice dining room. Menu is "pub" food rather than fine dining. Lunch menu a bit limited and only a small number of lighter options available.
