The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. On Thursdays, enjoy our wood fired pizza pop-up and our legendary Quirky Quiz runs every other Wednesday. The usual excellent meal from Pizzerium. On this occasion while my family stayed with the tried and trusted calzone napoletana and pizza vegetariana respectively, I had the special which was Pizza di Parma. This was very good with the warmth from the pizza lifting the prosciutto to a peak of deliciousness. The service was as friendly as ever and the ambience good.

The restaurant now has a lovely cosy feel. Great food and service, big portions so good value, last time I had the pork belly bites for starter and they were delicious, my partner said he could just eat a whole bowl of them. This time I had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Service all round was excellent, friendly and helpful, need to try the sunday roast next. Will definitely return and would absolutely recommend
