Great food and service. Cozy contemporary atmosphere

The ambience and atmosphere were great, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the fizzies; they have unique flavors and are a fun experience

We enjoy Izakaya Den and understand that it has complex menu choices, which we consider a feature (not a bug). However, our waiter managed to make the menu more confusing rather than easier to navigate. We couldn't tell whether he was trying to "sell" us on items, provide information, or just hear himself talk! He got very far afield on the preparation of Tuna Collar and then discovered that he was describing a totally different dish. He also laid-on a thick layer of jargon, i.e "flavor profiles", etc. instead of speaking with clarity. The experience at Izakaya Den is already very good and didn't need to be embellished with BS. Fortunately, since one in our party has serious allium (onion/garlic) and gluten sensitivities, the order was placed correctly. We'll definitely will return again, and just hope we don't get the same waiter! Yeesh!

We love Venice! Super thrilled they extended the bar area so we could enjoy a drink while we waited for our table. The manager and staff are incredibly friendly. The food is the best Italian food in the metro area. We have been enjoying the food and ambiance for 15 years or more and are never disappointed!!

Lovely time, as always! The menu has changed a bit (for the better, we think!) over the last few years. The seasonal changes are always interesting. Lots of options for everyone and just a really chill vibe. We had the pleasure of being served by Carla who was so sweet (our friend was chilly from a wintery trek from his car, so she brought him a hot water to wrap his hands around) - so thoughtful! We had a lovely time and will be back.
