Please note our Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday - Sunday from 13:00 - 16:30 and we ask you to pre-book to avoid disappointment. Madeleine follows the tradition of grand hotels with luxurious cocktail bars: its double-height windows, sparkling chandeliers, and rich soft furnishings make it at once super-glamorous and utterly enticing.We think that once you are sat at your table, sipping a cocktail or a glass of Champagne, you won’t want to leave – and who can blame you? We welcome you to enjoy some light French inspired snacks whilst with us, or why not indulge fully in our impressive Afternoon Tea, handcrafted by Head Pastry Chef, Roger Lomas, and his innovative team. Our hope is to establish Madeleine as somewhere that’s exclusively for everyone, a glamorous setting that’s perfect for special occasions, celebrations, and treats but equally somewhere you can drop by on the spur of the moment (subject to availability, of course).

We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why?     Very high class from start to finish. Service amazing and staff highly professional and friendly. A special shout out to Will Taylor-Lucas who demonstrated everything that is good about the younger generation. The food was unique and "to die for"!! Thank you - we will be back - as soon as we can afford it. Only suggestion - don't add 12.5% service charge to bill - it is about the right price without that - let people add tips if they want to - I would have!!!! Thanks for a great night out.

    Totally exceeded my expectations. Fabulous service, setting and food. Beautiful calm, graceful ambience with warm helpful staff and every item on the menu was first rate. A pleasant surprise that unlimited teas, any type of coffee and hot chocolate were included in afternoon tea and the rose fizz to accompany goes perfectly as an add on. A special start to Christmas and a refined yet relaxed oasis in which to enjoy it at leisure. Highly recommended thank you - we will be back.

    Having had the a la carte menu in the past we opted for the tasting menu, which was delicious and good value to money. Cocktails were very tasty and just the right amount to choose from. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
