Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights is perhaps one of the most lively and entertaining eateries throughout the area and is known for hosting many events and is special enough to help ring in the holidays. In fact, Schnitzel Platz will often feature a special menu that has items only available throughout select times of the year like Oktoberfest. There are, of course, plenty of consistent favorites you will find too.Some consistent menu items include the Kaiser in the neighborhood, whole suckling pig, Deutsche Haus platte, schweine braten and the sauerbraten.     Finally got around to taking my family to Goat and Vine on Thursday and we had a wonderful time. Especially enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer . I had the cod which was very good, but the brussels sprouts were beyond the best. Vanesa was our server and she was very kind and patient with us as we made our choices. In fact, I had such a good time that I was back the next day with friends. We came for the Happy Hour , and the manager was kind enough to find a spot for us in the very crowded restaurant. Again, Vanesa was our server and she was her usual happy helpful polite, self. Yes again to the bruschetta for appetizer. I had the jambalaya, which is always excellent and did not disappoint. It was a perfect evening with friends lots of conversation , very easy to talk to people, and we ended with the wonderful macadamia ice cream dessert. Very large very delicious and certainly will be ordered again. If you think that isn’t enough, I am actually going back in another week with another friend so I to introduce her to my favorite favorite restaurant. The service is impeccable. The manager is very helpful and very involved and the server staff has always been friendly and patient. The food by far is exceptional and oh yeah, I forgot to mention the lemon drop martini is a must have. Highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed on any level

    Went for Christmas Eve. First time ever dining there. Menu was great. Appetizers were excellent. Great baked clams and the best fried calamari and shrimp with spectacular cocktail sauce. Margarita pizza was perfect. Strongly recommend the Zuppa do pesce. Sauce a bit of the thicker side than what I’m used to. But great flavor and generous amount of seafood. Excellent cannoli and gelato too. Our server was very attentive. Can’t wait to go back to try more entrees.
