Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

When Mr. George and his wife Maria decided after more than 50 years of experience in cooking and restaurant business to create "Gods' Restaurant" they couldn't have not respected these principles. At the family - owned "Gods' Restaurant" you will feel right at home with rustic and hospitable atmosphere. Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”. There are also some unique dishes which you can hardly find elsewhere, such as ravioli stuffed with beef & spices with red pepper & yoghurt-mint sauce, slow-cooked goat with pappardelle pasta, Cretan macaroni "skioufichta" and the caramelized octopus

Balthazar is one of Athens finest restaurants. It is located in a neoclassical building on Tsocha street and is special not only for its beautiful interior but also for its impressive garden. Balthazar serves a Mediterranean cuisine with many Greek fusion influences since Christoforos Peskias has formed a highly creative menu. Fresh salads like green beans with smoked almonds, and a Thai lemon dressing, original dishes such as marinated fresh fish in lemongrass and basil, and the well-known meatballs with french fries and yogurt dip are the reason for a visit. A beautiful meal in every way. Interesting menu, fun concept of market dining. Our daughter has multiple food allergies and we were well taken care of in a thoughtful but discreet way. We had pasta, pizza, the branzino and house made focaccia- all was well prepared and delicious. Only unfortunate part was that we were too full for dessert.
