So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come. This is our absolute favorite restaurant. We have been going for a number of years and it never disappoints. The service is always completely on point. The food always the perfect temperature and absolutely delicious and always fresh. Love the ambience. It’s the perfect amount of calm/relaxing/ charming/cozy/fancy,but not overly stuffy. Perfect date night and family night location for celebrating a special ocassion.

Our waitress Janet was top notch. Attentive, thorough and took a special order for my picky 11YO. The food came out quickly, was hot and plentiful. The milkshakes were huge and delicious. The decor was lovely. The place was clean. Overall very good experience.

Our server Rachel was outstanding, extremely courteous and attentive. I had the pear salad and ordered one of the specials - the gnocchi with shrimp in a light red cream sauce. Both were delicious. My friend had the veal piccata and the beet salad and she enjoyed both as well. We were seated upstairs by the window. The view of Kings Hwy was quite beautiful and festive. As the room filled up, it was a bit noisy and a little difficult to converse. Overall, our experience was wonderful. Highly recommend this quaint place!

The food and service were both outstanding. We had a 4:30 reservation, so it was quite. But the place filled out by time we left. Clams casino pizza was a special and I hope it makes it to the main menu. We will be back to try some other of the tasty food on the menu.
