Even though we arrived close to closing time, we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal, as the restaurant stayed open until we finished eating. I love Gyu-Kaku restaurants in Boston, MA, although I often find the menu challenging to understand. Both food items were very good, but the service wasn’t. The initial server took approximately 8 minutes to greet us and bring the water. We didn’t walk out of the restaurant because we were with my elderly mother and we didn’t want her to have to move to another restaurant. We ordered right away and the order came out within a reasonable amount of time. While we waited for our food the server did not come to refill our water glasses or check on us. Another server brought our food and was courteous and quickly brought us the extra plates that we requested. Once we were done eating the initial server came back and asked if we wanted a box for the remaining pizza slices. It took several minutes so I just grabbed a to go box that was on a shelf near the bar.
