The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines.     I went to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. Lovely food and surroundings. Our waitress Michaela couldn’t do enough for our table. She was friendly and helpful and even took time out to organise a beautiful little birthday cake. Thank you Michaela you made my birthday extra special. I will definitely be visiting again

    When visiting the White Horse it is always welcoming and you immediately feel at home. A roaring fire and lovely staff. We both had a large plate and a pudding and the food was excellent. We had a seafood pie and a beef and ale pie which was a special. The tastes were out of this world. For puddings we had a croissant and butter pudding with ice cream and a crème brûlée. Again they were so different to normal fayre and a real pleasure. The combination of lovely ambience and special food was a lovely experience.

    The food here is excellent, and I enjoyed my time as a solo traveler. I'm always on the lookout for heart-healthy food, and although the menu falls short on that front (I could have asked for the food to be cooked with olive oil, but I didn't), the meal was fine. If I were to be in Chester again. I'd ask for that substitution, if they can accommodate that.
