It seemed that the three waitpersons were working as a team (1 lady, 2 gentlemen). We each got the tasting menu (usually $62 but was $50 for Monday evening). It was wonderful. It could have been a little spicier but that's just me.\n\nSo why 4 stars instead of 5? After our main courses, it almost as seemed that the servers had forgotten about us. It took an eternity for dessert to come and subsequently, the check. I know there were a few occupied tables outside, and only 3 tables (counting us) inside. I don't think they were \"in the weeds.\" In the back of their minds, they probably thought we were happily chatting (true) but that's no reason for the 15-20 minute lag before the last course. The one wrinkle in the entire experience. Each of the servers was very polite and did a good job describing the various dishes and were well-versed in the specifics of each dish.\n\nI DO recommend this place wholeheartedly. Yes, you can walk down the street to a wine store and buy a bottle to bring to the restaurant, but no cocktails or beer are served, and they need to be upfront about that. Would I have picked a different restaurant if I'd known this ahead of time? Yes. So I can see why they don't mention it, but it feels like a purposeful oversight. Instead, they should work with the wine store down the street and sponsor each other as a way to increase interest in both locations. Put the name of that wine store on their listing, and vice versa. The only other hiccup was that the process of paying the bill went so fast that I didn't get a chance to add a tip to the total. We had very little cash on us so I feel like we dissed the waiter, who deserved more. They were also out of one dessert and coffee by the time we ordered at the end, which was odd.
