There was only one starter and one main she could choose from the Sunday lunch menu and although she thoroughly enjoyed the taste of both, the portion size was extremely small compared to the other dishes around the table. On the opposite side of the scale, the size of the roasts and the vegetable accompaniments were plentiful. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for the wine we ordered as our starter arrived before the wine. Also some of the red onion was very hard and not edible. So many great flavours and some skilful cooking. The Basque cheesecake was our favourite end to the meal. We had each dish fully explained which added to our enjoyment.
