In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Kai Haw Bai Toey - deep fried marinated chicken in pandanus leaves, Kaeng Kiew Warn Kai - chicken in green curry soup, also recommended the Nipa platter - a selection of the chef's special Thai starters.

The acclaimed chef, Ben Tish, has created a menu inspired by the diverse cooking styles of the gloriously sun-drenched Mediterranean way of life, as well as a focus on seasonality and bountiful British produce.     Definitely worth seeking this one out. As per other reviews, a nice chilled vibe with friendly and accommodating staff. The burger is really good and done perfectly - but equally this place serves vegans and vegetarians as well. It would take a lot not to keep the casual diner happy such is the selection of tasty things on offer. For anyone reading this review and looking for somewhere to eat this evening, go for it as you will not disappointed.

    We came here for valentine's and had the set menu, every dish was so good, well presented and full of flavour. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and put a custom valentines message on my girlfriend dessert 🥰 10/10 We will be doing a food blog on IG and Tiktok tomorrow: Nishandmarv ✨

    Review: Exceptional Dining Experience at Bacchanalia From the moment we arrived at Bacchanalia, we were met with exceptional hospitality. Despite a queue at the entrance, the attentive staff promptly acknowledged our arrival and ensured we were seated within five minutes. As soon as we settled in, we were offered a choice between still or sparkling water, setting the tone for the level of attentiveness throughout the evening. Anna took the time to walk us through the menu, providing clear explanations that helped us navigate the options with ease. Nikos, who took our order, was an absolute standout. His attentiveness and thoughtful recommendations made our dining experience even more enjoyable. He ensured that each course, from starters to dessert, was delivered seamlessly, checking in regularly to make sure we were well taken care of and fully satisfied. The service at Bacchanalia truly elevated our meal, making for a memorable and enjoyable evening. The combination of warm hospitality, knowledgeable staff, and impeccable service makes it a dining experience worth returning to.
