So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come. I've never had a bad experience. Some of us had meals off the early bird winter special, absolutely delicious. Portions are generous, flavors are perfectly balanced & the options are well-rounded. I eat here regularly. I think after you've tried it, you will too!

This was our first visit to Umile. So fun! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The space is amazing. Great vibe. The space is small, but it doesn't feel crowded. They did a great job spacing the tables out. Our server was attentive but not pushy. We usually prefer to order an appetizer BEFORE ordering dinner, but the chef here wants the whole order at once. Not a problem since they spaced the two courses out appropriately, which some restaurants aren't very good at. And then there was the food. We had the fried mozzarella special. I don't know what that crusty coating was, but we are still talking about it! Delicious. Then we opted for two pizzas. Still talking about those too. Really special. The executive chef/owner came to our table and talked to us for a few minutes, making sure we were enjoying the food and the experience. Yes to both. He gave us a little bit of his back story too. We have already recommended it to friends both for the ambiance, the food and the staff. It was a great night!
