Active and bustling, in the "Trattoria Style", this Woodbury location of Butera's offers quality food at a great value. Known for their generous portions of pasta entrees, grilled fare, and fresh fish, Butera's has established a fine reputation as a neighborhood place where guests often see people they know. It is owned and operated by Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, Martin's brother Gary Butera, and partner and chef Nick Zografos. The large open room is tastefully decorated with a traditional and contemporary mix, with rich dark woodwork and stone treatments, granite table tops, a wood and granite bar, fieldstone and hardwood floors, stone fireplace, exposed wine racks and a Tiffany style fixture at the entrance. Fresh flowers complete the handsome decor. For 2023 the Restaurant has been renovated. The new look is modern and trendy but comfortable as well. The Bar is more open and the party room is great for any occasion or function. Lake House has been a stand out restaurant in Bay Shore for years. After they moved closer to the Fire Island Ferry dock and built their new location I was afraid that size might negatively impact the overall fantastic experience that has always been Lake House's standard. No chance! It's still one of the top restaurants on Long Island and the service, food and ambiance remains excellent. Consistency in the restaurant business is always the most difficult achievement and Lake House meets that bar with flying colors. Thanks to them for a terrific meal on Saturday night!

The lunch menu is outstanding! There were so many items that I would have loved to order. I had the shrimp with arborio rice, chick peas, and greens…. Scrumptious!!! Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes!

On Thursday night they have wonderful live music. The food is terrific. The moscato on the wine list is unbelievably delicious. The tuna appetizer is a perfect opening. It sits on a bed of fresh vegetables.The fries that accompanied the filet mignon are addictive. The owner is so amicable and attentive and warmly welcoming. We spilt an appetizer of tulip flowers made even more scrumptious by the accompanying dip. Branzinos is a great find.
