After many years, we decided to make the drive to The Gris. We were not disappointed. I ordered clam chowder and the salmon entree. My wife ordered the cod entree. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. However, our waitress seemed confused at times and not everything went smoothly as a result. For instance, although I asked for the chowder to be served before the entrees but the entrees were brought to the table without getting the chowder. When I asked the waitress what happened, she was confused but asked me if I still wanted it. I said yes and she promptly served it along side my salmon. That aside, it is a grand old place. The only other negative was that a cold breeze permeated the restaurant every time the front door opened. You would think they would have solved that problem over the many years it’s been there.

When we arrived, it wasn't busy at all so we were able to select a table by a picture window and glorious view. As we sat enjoying our goodies, the place became full and despite the many tables, our server was always cheerful, accommodating, and respectful. No long wait as our food arrived shortly after ordering and was thoroughly enjoyed as we shared tasty appetizers (hummus plate and brussel sprouts plate), a delightful special for the day (beef stew), and a delicious salad (pecan and goat cheese). We ended on a sweet note by enjoying a yummy dish of freshly made cookies (chocolate chocolate chip) that were still warm and gooey! A lovely experience all around and would definitely return when in the area. Thank you 1741 for a delightfully delicious evening. Truly a treat!

Delicious food, quick service. Loved the igloo, but do wish it was a little easier to eat in. Would be ideal for apps and drinks, but 8 of us were happy and cozy for lunch! Very warm!

Driven by this place for years and thought it was a farm stand/garden center. Finally tried it. Will be back soon! Great brunch and lunch entrees. Haven't tried dinner yet but loved what I experienced. Try the Terrain breakfast and the Dill Bloody Mary is truly unique..

Fire at the Ridge is hands down my favorite place to eat. The food quality and the setting are perfect for an intimate dinner with friends or business associates. The fire pit seating particularly is a great way to spend an evening with friends catching up and enjoying a good meal. The service can get overwhelmed on busy nights translating to delays in ordering and food and drink delivery occasionally, but the staff is always friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are always more than worth the wait!
