Like its sister restaurant Left Bank, Petite Left Bank is named in homage to and inspired by the iconic brasseries of La Rive Gauche, the southern or “left bank” of the River Seine which winds its way through the center of Paris. Petite Left Bank is a modern and approachable setting, and at the heart of all the space has to offer Tiburon is a French café. During the day, handcrafted dishes feature modern flavors and techniques that embrace its French European heritage and elevate the café experience. As the day turns to night, Petite Left Bank transforms into an alluring, lively, and exciting space with bistro highlights that showcase French recipes and classics. It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon. Now with four restaurants, The Bar & Grill offers Brunch Lunch & Dinner.

    Excellent food and music- we always sit up in the front room to hear the music which is why the noise level is high… but people sit in the rooms further away from the music for quieter dinner- staff is wonderful and it our fav dinner spot!

    We had a wonderful dinner and a great experience—wait and bartender Sal was fantastic!.The food was amazing (oysters, chicken, haricot vert, mussels), and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely have the crème brûlée. The restaurant is simply decorated and feels like a true French bistro. We’ll be back!

    A while back, I cannot book reservation on Open Table app the time we wanted but I still booked at a later time. When I called the restaurant directly, the hostess was able to adjust the reservation to the time we wanted. We arrived to our reservation at 12:30 pm today. The hostess Daria was so accommodating when I asked to change our table to a better view of the water. The server was nice explaining the good red wine on the menu according to my liking. I ordered the recommended Meiomi red wine. It was light to my taste which was good. My friends got white wine and Irish coffee. For starters we ordered the Horseradish Deviled Eggs with Bacon and tasted good. My friends ordered the same Crab Cake Benedict and Classic Eggs Benedict. I got the Pan Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops over the risotto. The whole food was delicious. The interior ambiance was beautiful. The service was superb. A few times I visited the restaurant in the past and I don’t mind returning for occasions or just to hang out with girl friends. I recommend The Trident restaurant even it’s a drive to Sausalito from different angles of places.
