Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Our casual restaurant has a retro contemporary theme which includes a carved wood bar topped with marble, granite table tops and bright turquoise and red accents flanking the wood-burning brick oven. Terrace seating is shared with our fine dining concept Bella Roma. Flavio, a third-generation chef from Venice, Italy, says his Farinata is not available anywhere else in the area. The thin pancake (much like a tortilla) is made of chickpeas, baked in the wood-burning oven and enhanced with rosemary and other savory toppings. Among Flavio's thin-crust pizzas (his grandfather's recipes) are the popular Quattro Stagioni (fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto, olives) and the Pizza Vegetariana with assorted grilled veggies. The rustic bread and focaccia are made on the premises. Flavio's also serves up house-made pasta dishes, plus veal and seafood entrees. We look forward to serving you!

Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area. Paulo & Bill Restaurant in Shawnee serves up well-presented seafood and Italian cuisine including the classics and more modern choices.Paulo & Bill Restaurant offers appetizers that include garlic bread, wood-fired salmon salad, calamari, crab cakes and goat cheese bruschetta. Pasta options can be made gluten free and include the house-made gnocchi, wild mushroom ravioli and lasagna.     Bavaro's of Sarasota is absolutely the best of the best - our every Friday night dining feast. From their authentic wood-fired Pizza Napolitana, to a wide array of uniquely prepared appetizers and main dishes, they are sure to satisfy every craving. Be sure to save room for dessert where you will enjoy delicious cannolis made from scratch in their own kitchen, along with gelato and more, and the best espresso anywhere for a smooth and satisfying finish. Enjoy indoor or covered patio dining where the weekly music provides a perfect setting to relax, eat and enjoy.

    Overall wonderful dinner shared w friends. The restaurant policy on corkage might be reviewed? Sardinia offers many wines unfamiliar to us, but $40/bottle (and one bottle limit) dissuaded us from bringing high end plonk from our cellar. We’d come more often if we could pour some of our good stuff.

    This is my happy place! I brought friends for a gals’ lunch and we were pampered from start to finish. A lovely welcome by the always gracious Ana, fun and topnotch service thanks to Amy and smiles from every other face in the Mediterraneo family. Did I mention that everyone raved about their food?! I’ve been a fan for a few decades and I never get tired of sharing this special restaurant with others.
